  • Joann Derr

    Joann is the President and founding board member of the Andy Derr Foundation. As Andy’s wife and caregiver she saw firsthand the effects that kidney cancer can have on the mind, body, and spirit. She has a passion for connecting with and supporting those affected by kidney cancer. Joann continues Andy’s advocacy work volunteering for KidneyCAN, a nonprofit organization seeking to add kidney cancer dollars to the national budget by meeting with local government representatives. Joann is a retired special education teacher and is enjoying spending much of her time as “Grammy Jo”.

  • Megan Barkanic

    Megan Barkanic is the Vice President and Secretary for the Andy Derr Foundation. As Andy’s daughter and a founding board member, she leverages her background as an oncology nurse to bring a medical perspective to the organization. Megan is currently a Medical Science Liaison with Bristol Myers Squibb’s oncology field medical team. She is married to Matt, a volunteer with the organization, and is mom to Andy’s grandson, Teddy, and granddaughter, Olivia.

  • Brian Derr

    Brian is Andy’s son and a project specialist at Mass General Brigham Healthcare. He's been with the Andy Derr Foundation since the beginning and serves as the Treasurer. Brian keeps the foundation running managing the tech, paperwork, and accounting. Brian is Dad to Andy’s granddaughter, Emerson, and married to Melissa, who volunteers with the organization.

    Josh Eberle

    Josh Eberle is the newest addition to the board at the Andy Derr Foundation. With a background in accounting and real estate finance, Josh brings a unique perspective to the Foundation’s leadership. Josh has been a volunteer at the Foundation’s Oktoberfest and is honored to support Andy’s dream by taking on a larger role in helping the Foundation pursue its mission.
