April 2026 Newsletter
Thank You to Our Advocates
We are incredibly grateful to our dedicated volunteers - Donna, Brian, Sheila, Karen, and Joann, who represented ADF during KidneyCAN’s Spring Advocacy Days. This year, advocates from four states stepped forward to meet with members of Congress, sharing their stories, raising awareness, and asking congress to designate dollars in the national budget for kidney cancer research. In 2024, $50 million in funds were designated to kidney cancer research. In 2025, that amount was slashed to ZERO DOLLARS. With the help of these advocates, that number was raised to $15 million with the hope of more to come!
Advocacy takes time, courage, and passion—and these volunteers showed all three. Thank you for your commitment, your time, and for being such powerful agents of change.
If you are interested in becoming an advocate, please consider joining us for the Fall advocacy days. No experience necessary! Email Joann@andyderrfoundation.org
ADF 2026 Sponsorships
ADF is proud to offer our 2026 sponsorship opportunity for partners who want to make a lasting impact in the kidney cancer community. As a 2026 sponsor, your organization will be recognized across all ADF events throughout the year, gaining meaningful visibility while directly supporting research, advocacy, and patient initiatives.
Sponsors will receive featured recognition at our signature events — including special highlights at our annual Oktoberfest celebration — along with acknowledgment in event materials, digital promotions, and community outreach efforts.
Partner with ADF and stand alongside us in driving awareness, advancing research, and bringing hope to families affected by kidney cancer.

ADF’s Team Renal Renegades Completes MSKCC’s Cycle for Survival
Team Renal Renegades showed up strong and full of heart at Memorial Sloan Kettering’s Cycle for Survival! With incredible energy, determination, and plenty of team spirit, they rode together - relay style - for four hours to support cancer research for rare cancers and bring hope to many. We are so proud of this amazing team for turning passion into action, while having a great time! The Renal Renegades have already voiced their hopes to complete Cycle for Survival again next year - with an even bigger team!
