Get ready for an afternoon of food, drinks, games, and fundraising at our annual Andy Derr Foundation Oktoberfest! Enjoy delicious food from Steel Club, drinks available for purchase, and plenty of fun including our popular Punch Out, Duck Pluck, and Wine Ring Toss games. Don’t forget to check out Joann’s famous Silent Auction, featuring an incredible variety of items and experiences. Most importantly, every dollar raised supports the Andy Derr Foundation’s mission to advance kidney cancer research, education, engagement, and advocacy. To date, we have raised more than $500,000 to support these important initiatives, with Oktoberfest serving as a major contributor to that success as our largest fundraiser of the year. KidneyCAN Fall Advocacy Days!
September 21st & 22nd
The Andy Derr Foundation is proud to be a partner of KidneyCAN in the fight to advance kidney cancer research. This September 21–22, patients, caregivers, researchers, clinicians, and supporters will come together—both in Washington, DC and virtually—to advocate for increased federal funding for kidney cancer research. No prior advocacy experience is necessary; KidneyCAN provides training, talking points, and support so you can confidently make your voice heard. New Partnership with Smart Patients
We are excited to announce our new partnership with Smart Patients, an online community that connects patients, caregivers, survivors, and advocates so they can learn from one another, share experiences, ask questions, and stay informed about the latest research and treatment developments. Smart Patients offers a dedicated kidney cancer community, providing a supportive space where those affected by kidney cancer can connect with others who understand their journey and gain knowledge to help them become more informed and empowered advocates for their care.
Through this partnership, the Andy Derr Foundation is helping strengthen connections within the kidney cancer community and expand access to patient-to-patient support and education. We are proud to partner with an organization that shares our commitment to empowering patients and families and advancing the kidney cancer community.
